Courtney Ann Boutique

I recently had the pleasure of designing the Courtney Ann Boutique, located at 1801 Valley View Blvd., Rear.  Owners Courtney Pielmeier and Kristin Finochio have had an online store for over a year and recently rented space for a brick and mortar store.  The space was formerly an office and needed a makeover to become a retail space cute enough to showcase the adorable clothes that Courtney Ann Boutique offers.  Check them out at www.courtneyannboutique.com, www.Facebook.com/courtneyannboutique/ and CourtneyAnnBoutique on Instagram.  But I digress!  Back to design.  Let me show you some befores and afters and shamelessly remind you that if you are looking for budget design for retail or real estate staging, LaVintage Decor may be the answer for you.  Call LaVonne at 814.934.8928, email lavintagedecor@gmail.com or contact me on the site.

Here's a before.  Glass block windows, vertical blinds and paneling.  Says office, not boutique.

And then there's this commercial carpet.  I had to stare at it for awhile before I could make it say boutique, but once it came to me, I took color cues from the pattern.

In the south, a red door says welcome, here it kind of says " stay away".  It had to go.

Kristen wanted a coffee bar, so a repurposed dresser and some shelves filled the bill.  Reimagined chairs painted a pretty pink provide a place for waiting and give the vintage boutique vibe the owners wanted.  Lace helped the windows make the transition.  Pinks and grays make the carpet make sense in this space.  The paneling got whitewashed to provide that shabby feel.

Former office cubicles provide a great changing room.  Vintage chairs and the client's own accessories provide a symmetric, shabby dressing room.

Repurposed finds combined with new mirrors, and united by paint, provide a proper three way mirror, lit by a chandelier fashioned from a vintage pole lamp fixture, Edison bulb and chandelier crystals

Courtney wanted a vanity in the bathroom, but lack of space and budget concerns led to this quaint solution.  A former tabletop gets a corner cut out, supported by cleats and a random table leg, all painted out in one color unifies the found objects.  The clients accessories are perfect on the little corner table.

One long rack with shelf provides lots of space for hanging, then a second shelf was requested to accommodate the maxi length skirts and dresses.  See how cute these clothes are?

Wooden racks with galvanized pipe fittings and conduit, painted out in gray provided the racks needed for clothing.  Vintage wooden hangers painted pink and decoupaged with floral images provide a place to showcase special outfits.
